The "Princess' Island" is the westernmost of the Northern Islets in the Dome of the Northern Continent and the home of Princess Ishiza.

History[]

When the eight Toa were active on the island against Xalcak, the island was lush and filled with small villages. Sion of Island Defense managed to get the Matoran to side with him and build up the city due to Shalax and her manipulations. Around this time, Destiny on the island became corrupted when Xalcak died.

At some point it was decided that the islet would have a hierarchy system. Ishiza came into power as "Princess" some time prior to the year 998 A.G.C. and established trade routes with Angelus Nui as a result.

Following this, she overhauled her islet's system once again, making it an even larger difference in the population gap. While the jobs varied between the aristocracy, the smaller middle class that worked as merchants and the like, and the largest gap, the unnamed workers. The islet started to descend into turmoil, resulting in the need for a police force.

Ishiza dispatched a lower class worker named Tial to the Isle of Doppel Nui to learn about their system. When he eventually returned, a system of police was established on the islet to suppress any unrest.

Meanwhile, Shalax began to raise her threat against the island, forcing the Toa to fight her forces alongside the re-established Island Defense for a few months, causing Ishiza's leadership to seriously be called into question by those loyal.

Culture[]

The "Princess' Island" is in a near constant turmoil as a result of the class differences and the unease that was created along with it. The higher class began to oppress the lower class, who were reduced to nameless cogs in the machine, working on anything. This led to the introduction of a police system similar to that found on Doppel Nui. The near constant turmoil was brought forth by continual Matoran uprisings, which were continued to be put down in a near endless cycle, leading some to believe that someone is manipulating the islet.

Landscape[]

The island was one filled with mountains and proper landscape; hills, grass, forests, rivers, lakes. After a period of time, it became a metropolis, one massive city without any landscape left, save a few small exceptions. Sion was behind the overall changes, somehow.

In the past, a location known as the Dunes of Sorrow existed.

One small portion of the island remains as it once was; with some weeds, boulders, and a stream for hydroelectricity.

Inhabitants[]

  • A number of Matoran - The primary inhabitants of the islet.
